The Inpatient is a 2018 survival horror video game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. The game was released in January 2018 for the virtual reality headset PlayStation VR. It is a prequel to the 2015 game Until Dawn, taking place at the Blackwood Sanatorium in 1952, 63 years before the events of the original game. Unlike Until Dawn, it uses a first-person perspective.
